Serving and Growing

At Edenton Christian Church, we believe that everyone is uniquely called to help others, from care for the food insecure to refugee resettlement, we will find a place for you to share the love of Christ with others. You are invited to become a part of our long-standing practice of caring for "the least of these". Our next service date is March 14th.  We invite you to come make a difference!    

• Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach, donating food & serving meals to the guests,
• The Center for People, the People's City Mission, and the Indian Center; collecting food, clothing and providing financial support,
• Lincoln Food Bank, we recently donated $32,300 in response to their need due to the reduction in SNAP benefits.
• The Nebraska Diaper Bank; we collected diapers for their distribution,
• NAMI Nebraska, financial support to assist persons with mental illness,
• In partnership with other Disciples of Christ Churches, we welcomed and supported an immigrant family to our community.  

This is just a snapshot of the ways we have served this year. Living out our faith in love and support of others.  

We believe that spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. We offer small group book and bible studies, resources, and opportunities to help you grow in your faith and deepen your relationship with God. 

We’re a diverse group of Christ-followers across the United States and Canada. We worship in old sanctuaries, living rooms, coffee shops, and online. We love sharing a meal together. We’re called to do justice. We read and wrestle with the Bible. We believe God loves the whole world; you included. We’re doing our best to follow Jesus and we’ve made a commitment to work toward being an anti-racist church. We’re glad you’re here.
